When using VIRL it’s nice to be able to move between consoles without using the mouse. There are two keyboard shortcuts to do this.
To move right use function + control + down arrow
To move left use the function + control + up arrow
This is all well and good, but I’ve been acustomed to command + shift + [ or ] as I use it in Chrome and Safari, as well as SecureCRT. To make life easy I’ve created a Keyboard Maestro rule that maps the shortcuts I’m used to back to the shortcuts used in VM Maestro. Here’s how it looks:
First I;ve created a group of shortcuts called VIRL. By creating a separate group I can say that I only want these shortcuts to be available in a specific application, in this case VMMaestro.
Next I’ve created two shortcuts that take my input and result in a keystroke sequence.
It’s such a simple utility, but it works well for me. You can download these shortcuts here.
