I am extremely excited to have been invited to Networking Field Day 9 in February. Once again I’ll have the pleasure of spending time with vendors and fellow delegates considering some of the coolest technology there is. It’s always a fantastic time and when I leave my mind is just full of ideas. With my new aggressive schedule for posting here on the blog you’ll see posts hitting the site before the event is over.
What Is Networking Field Day?
Field Day events bring vendors and “us” together to see what vendors are hot about, hear what we think about it, and open a discussion with the community regarding these various technologies. It’s a great way for a vendor to feature a new product, release a new product, or explain a misunderstood product. For delegates it’s a great way to speak to the vendors and possibly cause change to happen (this has happened- I’ve seen it) and to continue to deliver relevant and timely content to the world.
Who Is Attending as a Delegate?
NFD9 holds a fantastic list of delegates. And I’m not just saying that because I’m on of them. Here’s the list of who’ll be attending:
- Bob McCouch
- Brandon Mangold
- Charles D. Galler Jr.
- Ivan Pepelnjak
- Jody Lemoine
- John Herbert
- Jonathan Davis
- Jordan Martin
- Lindsay Hill
- Nick Buraglio
- Pete Welcher
What Companies Will Be Presenting?
The list of presenting companies is also impressive. Here’s who will be there:
How Can You Get Involved?
It’s easy to get involved with a Field Day.
Step 1: Follow the live video stream at TechFieldDay.com or right here at Global Config.
Step 2: Post your thoughts, questions, and more on twitter using the hashtag #NFD9.
Step 3: Share with others.
Additionally, the hunt for new delegates is always on, so if you think you’d like to be one, head over here and read more about the selection process.
I’m sure that this will be another stellar event and look forward to all the converstaions.
