I’m happy to announce that two new courses for CCNA Security have been released. These courses address the Firewall and VPN aspects of the CCNA Security and can be found at Pluralsight.com.
Firewalls for CCNA Security (210-260) IINS
In this course we cover the essentials of Firewalls for CCNA Security candidates. We’ll beginning with an overview of firewall technologies and then get into the specifics of the Cisco ASA with a nice discussion of all the really cool features of the Cisco ASA version 9.x. As we get into the configuration of the ASA you’ll learn how to configure both Network Address Translation (NAT) and Access Control. After that we leave the ASA platform and learn about Zone-based Firewalls on Cisco IOS. We hit on all the topics of the CCNA Security as they pertain to Firewalls.
VPNs for CCNA Security (210-260) IINS
In the VPNs for CCNA Security course we cover two essential areas. First we hit on Site-to-Site VPN and then we tackle Remote Access VPN. While it may seem that the VPN topics are a bit light, don’t be fooled. After an introduction to VPN technology you’ll learn how to configure site-to-site VPN on both Cisco IOS as well as on a Cisco ASA. Since the ASA is the primary remote access VPN product we’re going to focus on it during the remote access discussion.
