I’ve been on an automation and productivity kick lately and one thing that has been slowing me down a bit is that when I get get an email that needs to go to Omnifocus I usually forward it to the super secret omnifocus email address and it shows up in my Omnifocus inbox. Today I saved a step by using the Zapier service to automate things. Here’s how it works.
Zapier connects to both Omnifocus and Gmail. I’ve created the following “Zap” as they are called:
Yes its a really simple automation but its saved me a chunk of time. Just one thing to note is that Zapier is a “mostly” paid service. The free plan lets you have 5 zaps at a time and they will run up to 100 a month. The next plan up is a little over 18 bucks. You’d have to do a lot of automation to make it worth the 19 bucks but Zapier is more feature rich than IFTTT in my opinion.
