Today’s post is brief, but I wanted to take a minute and point out that you can find a number of lab scenarios to work up in the DevNet portal. There you’ll find that the DevNet Sandbox program is currently a FREE 24×7 remote access lab service. Register a sandbox account and you can access labs like this one..
This particular environment, the APIC EM Sandbox, provides you with an environment to design, develop and test using the APIC-EM northbound APIs and sample network topology. Read more about the APIC here.
Essentially you reserve the Sandbox and receives access information and credentials via email at the start of the reservation. Once you are connected via VPN you can then access the URL for APIC-EM from the Lab Portal page. You need to register as a developer to access this area, but it may be worth it if you want to get in there and start poking around. You should note that not all labs and sandboxes are openly available, and there is also a VIRL lab coming soon.
Just another avenue to get in and kick some tires.
