LAS VEGAS, BABY! Oh the things to do here! Where do you start? But your spouse, your best friend, the one you want to pal-around with has a schedule packed with classes, tweet-ups and meet-ups. So what are you to do.
This is my 2nd time in Vegas for Cisco Live. I enjoyed it then, and I am excited to enjoy it this year. There are tons of sights out there that give you activities to do. From family activities to singles activities. From free activities to tours and sightseeing. But I want you to enjoy Cisco Live along with your hubby like I do. So here are some ideas the Cisco Wives will be doing through out the week:
1- Cisco Scavenger Hunt: This year Sunday is kick off day. Take creative pictures at various locations and post on Twitter or Instagram. You will have a couple opportunities to win some gift cards through out the week. This give you a way to approach the booths and have something to talk to them about. The booths love having fun with the pictures, so be ready to be creative. More Info Here
2- Volunteer: I appreciate these events. Cisco is giving back to the communities. Would you like to participate? Here are a list of ways to give back with your time at Cisco Live. Cisco Live Social Impact
3- Walk the isles: The booths can be fun for many reasons. Not only do you get some awesome swag while learning about networking (t-shirts, hats, light up thing-a-ma-bobs of every kind). I enjoy talking to the ones behind the booth. Ask them how their company pertains to networking. Tell them what your better half does and if it applies to their job. Surprise him with the things you learned.
4- Relax: Why not? If the guys can have their fun talking geek with friends and ogling networks… we should have our fun too. A nice spa treatment never hurt anyone.
5- Enjoy the sun: Mandalay Bay has one of the best beach/poolsides, in my opinion. From wave pools to the lazy river. Flip off those flops, order a Mai-Tai and wait for your hubby to finish that network class he has been dreaming about.
Enjoy the week at Cisco Live 2016. Have fun learning something new!
