[Cisco Live](http://ciscolive2013.com) is on the horizon and there are already a number of posts out there on the topic. Personally I haven’t missed a Cisco Live since it was called Networkers, and this year is no different. I’m really looking forward to meeting up with old friends and making new friends. Cisco Live is the place to be if you want to network with peers, tap into some of the knowledge that Cisco has to offer, and party like a rock star. There are so many benefits to Cisco Live that I couldn’t do it justice with a post just a few days before. Here are a few Cisco Live tips.
1. If you are working on the CCIE, then Sunday is for you. You have to pay for the session, but you can sit in with the Program managers and proctors for the various tracks and get some insight.
2. If you want to network with others in the industry then spend some time in the World of Solutions. When you visit a booth you basically have two options. 1, be a swagmeister. 2, talk to the people and learn about the product. I recommend the later. (Tip: Bring your spouse to gather all the swag like I do.)
3. If you are working on certifications spend some time in the certification lounge. There are some requirements to be in there, but the people you will meet in there are worth the visit.
4. Follow the twitter feed and meet-up with others when you can. Take the time to build your network. This is what makes the event for me. I look forward to meeting my peers every year.
Well there are only a few tips off the top of my head, but hopefully you can read into those tips and realize that Cisco Live is worth the expense and if you cant make it this year, make it a point to attend next year. And for those that are attending this year, let’s meet. Ping me on twitter [@brandoncarroll.](http://twitter.com/brandoncarroll)
