This Weeks Reading Recommendation relates to the class I taught recently. I had the pleasure of teaching BGP for an entire week and I gotta tell ya, I was a lot of fun. I recommend the class to anyone that needs to understand BGP. But, if you can’t make it to one of my classes you’ll want to check out the Routing TCP/IP Volume 2 book. I have to say that this book is packed with goodness. You can get it on amazon in paper format if you’re into old school and lugging around a library with you, or you can grab the kindle version and read it on you PC, MAC, Kindle, iPhone, or iPad. I have it in kindle format and love it. I think you will too.

Jeff Doyles’ books are the priced possessions of my Cisco Library, takes allot to even come close to that quality.
In my BGP-Classes (yes, thats also one of my favorite to teach) I recommend the following books:
1) Practical BGP by Russ White 2) Where Wizards Stay Up Late
The first one is at the moment (in my opinion) the best BGP-book on the market. Well, it’s full of little mistakes and typos but still the best. The second one is for all that are interested in the history of the Internet.
Ah yes! Practical BGP is a great book! Completely agree! //brandon
