It’s been about a week since the ASAv and IOSvL2 made their way into VIRL. What are my initial thoughts? Absolute sweetness! To be fair, I haven’t done as much with the switches as I have with the ASA now, but overall, it completely delivers!
I simply followed the upgrade instructions found on the dev-innovate site with no issues at all. My first upgrade was for ESXi and I’m currently upgrading the VMware Fusion version. I don’t use that one all that often so it wasn’t high on the to-do list for me.
I’ll be posting more as I get into it, but so far I’ve used VIRL for my training demo’s with the ASAv and ASDM with zero issue, bridged to the live network and resolving Internet IP’s from the Ubuntu server.
More to come. Until then, happy labbing!
