CiscoLive Orlando Day 1 (Networkers)

Well day one is over and here are my first impressions.

  1. The Convention Center is too big. They made me park in the back and walk about half a mile just to get registered.
  2. They are going “Green” so no handouts for tech sessions. Instead you get a cool 2GB- USB drive that comes with all the session PDFs on it.

  4. You get a nice backpack that comes with a refillable Water Bottle. Its filled with advertisements and some games to get you to some of the vendor booths. Looks like a few vendors are giving away the IPOD Touch and I saw one giving away an X-BOX 360 with Guitar Hero III.

So all-in-all, day one wasn’t anything exciting. They had the Labtorials and Techtorials today. I didn’t take any although I wanted to take the CCIE Security Techtorial. I’m not Paying 795 bucks for it though.
Tomorrow Ill be snapping off a few pics and I’ll give some highlights of the vendors that are here when the world of solutions opens up.

Welcome Back Ethan!

A valuable member of the CCIE blogosphere is back tonight.  Many of you are aware of the uproar created by a certain Article on Network World.  It sent the online community into an uproar and all of a sudden Ethan was MIA.  Well, his blog was anyhow.

But here is the good news:
Ethan is back and gives his thoughts on the issue as well as some insight as to what CertGuard has done, claims to do, and so on.
A BIG Welcome Back Ethan!

Email Issues

Just a quick apology to those of you that receive email updates from this blog.  I used a new offline blogging software for my post on CLI Shortcuts.  The preview sent in the email was pretty much junk.  Sorry about that.  I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again.
