Slow at Posting

Posted April 26th, 2008 by bcarroll and filed in CCIE Security

If you have been following or checking this blog or my blog this month on network world you’ve noticed a little drop of in my frequency of posting. The reason is that my wife and I just had our second son. (Actually she did all the work)

Anyhow, I promise that I will be adding more tips and tutorials and such very soon.

Thanks!

Links I talked about on Day 3 of CCNA Bootcamp

Well there were a number of topics that came up today. Here we go:
First of all I mentioned a CDP decoder. You can find that here.
I also talked about the Frame Relay Forum. It appears that they became the MPLS and Frame Relay Forum. Since then it looks like they became the IP/MPLS forum. Don’t quote me on that but thats what I was able to deduce in the few minutes I spent.

Here is a list of some others that you may be interested in:

IP/MPLS Forum

A Wikipedia Page that talks about the forums merging.

DSL Forum

DSLReports.com

And finally a summation of the shortcuts I used:

show run | include XXXXX shows and command line item that matched what you put in place of the XXXXXX

show run | begin XXXXX shows the first command line item that matched what you put in place of the XXXXXX and then displays the rest of the configuration.

Dont forget the “do” command. You can pretty much use it anywhere for show, debug, and ping and traceroute commands.
